Un livre d'art qui se contemple autant qu'il se lit - en français et en anglais. An art book, to gaze at as much as it is to be read-in French and in English. 30 wine shops all over Paris, some cosmopolitan, some local, some doubling up as wine bars, others as bistrots or delicatessens, restaurants or bookshops. Les vignerons de la Sainte-Victoire
Jefferson Desport, Emmanuel Perrin
- Sud Ouest
- Beaux Livres
- 15 Décembre 2023
- 9782817710785

Georges Duboeuf
- Cherche Midi
- Documents
- 8 Septembre 2016
- 9782749152448
In 1964 - he was 31 years old -, Georges Duboeuf, born into a family of winegrowers that had lived in the Mâconnais since the 17th century, created his company "Les vins Georges Duboeuf." Fifty years later, the founder has imposed his name on the entire world's tables. Today, his name is identified with Beaujolais Nouveau, which he triumphantly presents, each third Thursday in November, as well as crus from the Beaujolais and Mâconnais regions.
A peerless taster as well as a marketing and communication man, Georges Duboeuf has paired his company's image with the most prestigious names in haute cuisine, show business, the press and literature, from Paul Bocuse to Michel Troisgros, Georges Blanc and Guy Savoy, from Patrick Bruel to Lambert Wilson, without forgetting his dear and utterly loyal friend Bernard Pivot.
In this book, written with the complicity of Jean Orizet whose father, Louis Orizet, was Georges Duboeuf's "pen" for 30 years, the man whom Paul Bocuse calls "the king of Beaujolais" recounts his exceptional commercial and human adventure. Georges Duboeuf is one of those men who makes people love France.

Domaine Leroy ; domaine d'Auvenay, énigmatiques merveilles
Thierry Weber, Bertrand Mac gaw, Christophe Bohème
- Tonnerre De L'Est
- 5 Novembre 2014
- 9782954031620

A compact illustrated guide to the emerging and enormously popular category of natural wine, a style that focuses on minimal intervention, lack of additives, and organic and biodynamic growing methods. Today, wine is more favored and consumed that it's ever been in the United States--and millennials are leading the charge, drinking more wine than any other generation in history. Many have been pulled in by the tractor beam of natural wine--that is, organic or biodynamic wine made with nothing added, and nothing taken away--a movement that has completely rocked the wine industry in recent years. While all of the hippest restaurants and wine bars are touting their natural wine lists, and while more and more consumers are calling for natural wine by name, there is still a lot of confusion about what exactly natural wine is, where to find it, and how to enjoy it. In Natural Wine for the People , James Beard Award-winner Alice Feiring sets the record straight, offering a pithy, accessible guide filled with easy definitions, tips and tricks for sourcing the best wines, whimsical illustrations, a definitive list to the must-know producers and bottlings, and an appendix with the best shops and restaurants specializing in natural wine across the country, making this the must-buy and must-gift wine book of the year.

Prince Louis François de Bourbon-Conti - cousin of King Louis XV of France - was a patron of contemporary intellectuals such as Diderot, Beaumarchais, and Rousseau, and well-known as an avid art collector. His stroke of genius was the purchase of the Romanée vineyard, which later became known as the Romanée-Conti.This volume reveals the secrets of the legendary wine, which has earned a cult following of connoisseurs around the world. Following a biography of the Prince of Conti, detailed notes from recent wine tastings allow readers to identify the characteristics of this unique wine, which must be considered within the context of the Climats of Burgundy-the terroirs where the Burgundian grape varieties grow in optimal conditions. These fabled terroirs have benefited from a unique, centuries-long continuity and they were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015.To understand Burgundy, readers must be familiar with its Climats, but also conscious of the climate-the meteorological conditions in which each vintage is created-because the production of fine wines, and especially of those made from grape varieties at the very height of maturity, resembles at times an obstacle course created by nature to play tricks on the winegrower. Laurens Delpech-through lengthy excerpts from harvest reports published since 1996 by Aubert de Villaine,co-director of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti-recounts the saga of successive vintages, which illuminates the difficulty of the vigneron's profession. This original, complete, and engaging volume brings to the forefront the duality of the Climats and climate that give rise to the finest wines in Burgundy. An excellent overview of the Romanée-Conti, it is also essential reading for those who wish to sharpen their knowledge and appreciation of Burgundian wines.

The impossible collection of champagne
Enrico Bernardo

- Ultimate

- 9781649800695
For sheer magic, champagne has no equal. It is the very emblem of sophistication, of celebration, of uninhibited pleasure. One of the most closely protected wine appellations in the world, it enhances French art de vivre and contributes to its global prominence and prestige. Ever since champagne was first dreamed up at the turn of the eighteenth century, the region's visionary producers have forged ahead to open new markets and develop local terroirs.
Just how did the cork-popping devil's wine become the blessed nectar of the gods? Whether it's crafted by independent vignerons who cultivate grapes on their own lands or produced by legendary houses, champagne remains an international success that shines in a category by itself, beyond every other sparkling wine on Earth.
From exceptional vintages to an array of more recent releases, this exclusive selection curated by World's Best Sommelier Enrico Bernardo spans three centuries and is illustrated by various tasting experiences, insightful tips and singular anecdotes. He highlights the most remarkable bottles ever produced, all united by the impossibility of ever having them together in one cellar at a time, hence this volume's title. Presented in a wooden box, this edition is bound by hand and luxuriously crafted with hand-tipped labels, making it a must have for all champagne aficionados. -

A oenophile's guide to all things wine.
Red, white, sparkling or rosé - arguably no other alcoholic drink has had more impact on our society than wine. From its earliest iterations in earthenware jars all the way to the bottles we find lining supermarket shelves today, it has evolved from its use in religious rites along with culture, diet and society as a whole. And with literally billions of litres drank worldwide, our love of fermented grape juice shows no signs of waning.
This little book gets to the heart of our love affair with wine. After taking a tour through a history of its evolution through the centuries, it delves into the nitty-gritty of production before we taste the fruits of all that labour - in moderation of course - and learn all about drinking (and hopefully appreciating) this most esteemed of beverages. As well as a whole caseload of quaffable facts and famous sayings about the nectar of the gods, there is also a glossary of useful wine terminology for the aspiring connoisseur, just in case you need a handy reminder during a particularly arduous tasting session... -

A hundred years of Burgundy vintages 1922 - 2022
Jacky Rigaux
- Terre En Vues
- 21 Septembre 2023
- 9782916935539
Burgundy wines draw their originality and their classification from the soil from which they spring but their quality is also intimately linked to the climate of every year and the work done by the winegrower.
Jacky Rigaux, eulogist of Burgundy's terroirs, with the help of Henri Jayer's notes and memories and intimate knowledge of the fabulous collection of great wines of Maison Bouchard Père et fils and the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, recounts the enchanting saga of Burgundy's climates and a hundred years of vintages. -
This book features the viticultural techniques of many countries; they are far enough off the radar to delight anyone who loves originality and hates standardization.
Volcanic vineyards listed as UNESCO World Heritage, a "peace wine' blending over 600 varieties from around the world, vines standing 15 metres tall in Italy and Portugal, ice wines from Quebec, a wine from the Gobi desert, Taiwan's huge yields, harvesting on 31 December, classical music among the vines, a Bordeaux made with dry ice, a sparkling wine for disgorgement at home ... -
